Meet our friend, Dr. Melissa Jane Kronfeld.

Born in Canada and raised in New York, Melissa made Aliyah in 2018. In 2021, with help from Mayor Oded Revivi and fellow Olim Simcha Herring and Michael Hidary, Melissa set out to build a memorial park for her father on a hill in The Dagan, a community in Efrat, nestled in the lush Judean mountains. Part of The Yishuv's indigenous tree project, the park will support our efforts to repopulate Gush Etzion with 1,000 native trees over the next five years. With local families volunteering, we have planted 48 of the park's 72 commemorative trees. The Yishuv welcomes you to join our team at our next planting at the future site of the Eric Norman Kronfeld Memorial Park, including a complimentary tree and picnic for you and your family to enjoy featuring exclusive products and local goods from The Yishuv shop. This project is generously sponsored by the Kronfeld, Klein, Hidary, Herring, Minnis, Rubin and Zorbaron Families. If you would like to make a donation in support of this project, and have one of the 72 trees planted in your name or the name of a loved one, click below to make a tax deductible donation through the Efrat Development Foundation. 100% of your gift goes directly to funding our all-volunteer powered memorial park.

A percentage of the proceeds from Yishuv Industries fund eco-friendly impact projects like our Efrat tree project, in the communities our products are sourced from.
